Card Story

Why this one matters.

Aston Villa's 2025-26 Topps Chrome Premier League Club Crest Superfractor 1/1 — the one-of-one badge card of one of English football's founding institutions, slabbed PSA 8. The rampant lion on the claret shield, framed by a gold vinyl superfractor background and hand-numbered 1/1, is the crest of a club older than almost every rival in the league. Aston Villa was founded in 1874, and the back of the card reads like an institution's entry in a register: nickname The Villans, home Villa Park, founded 1874, sixth in 2024/25. The history behind those lines is enormous — Villa were a founding member of the original Football League in 1888 and of the Premier League in 1992, seven-time champions of England, and kings of Europe in 1982 when Peter Withe's goal beat Bayern Munich 1-0 in the Rotterdam European Cup final. Villa Park, their home since 1897, is one of the few remaining great traditional English grounds, hosting matches at both the 1966 World Cup and Euro 1996. In the modern era the club's revival under Unai Emery has restored that heritage to the top table — Champions League football returned to Villa Park in 2024, driven by one of the most admired coaches and one of the most exciting young squads in the country. Crest cards collect the identity that survives every transfer window: the badge a city has followed for 150 years. The Club Crest Superfractor is the ultimate expression of that loyalty — one card, one club, one collector. A centerpiece for any Villan.
